I am a versatile and progressive editor and proofreader (U.S. English) with a background in translation. My special power is helping non-native writers finesse their English phrasing without erasing their authentic voice. My favorite genres include memoir, explorations of human sexuality and witchcraft, and magical realism. I love my work and consider it the highest honor when an author entrusts me with their cherished creation.
I spend my nonworking hours channeling the wisdom of nature and finding new ways to undermine the patriarchy.

THE PERSON BEHIND THE LENS
I’m a self-taught portrait and lifestyle photographer with an editorial approach based in Transylvania, Romania.
My work is an expression of what I am most passionate about: storytelling, simplicity and human interaction. I see beauty in everything, everyone.
Photography helps me capture the uniqueness of my subjects, to show them how beautiful they really are.
From the soul, for the soul and about the soul.

Genie, Editor & Proofreader, on working together on The Paper Boat:
I do not believe in coincidences, only synchronicities. Cristina’s project arrived on my desk at precisely the right time for both of us, I believe, and I am honored to have been a part of this remarkable book.
I was swept up in the adventures of Zonja, with its surprise twists and magical turns, enjoying the story as it unfolded for me one chapter at a time. My notions were challenged and I was drawn into the drama, finding myself wondering, “What would I do…?”
Furthermore, Cristina is a consummate professional — a strong communicator with a clear vision of the big picture yet also receptive to new ideas and eager to adapt when necessary. Our collaboration on The Paper Boat evolved so naturally, with a free flow of feedback and ideas, that a genuine kinship emerged early on. I’m thankful we were brought together for this project.
